Our Methodology

The vision of CARES extends beyond the narrow walls of classroom and textbooks. At CARES, we believe that education is about preparing and equipping young people for life and not just for academic results. With this philosophy as our inspiration, CARES provides a stimulating environment where children enjoy learning and are encouraged and challenged to perform to the best of their abilities, in all areas of our extensive curriculum. In the CARES environment children feel both inside and outside the classroom, learning to accept responsibility, establishing self-discipline and gaining self-confidence. At CARES, we've always believed that both teachers and parents play an important role in the growth and development of a child and it's only through open communication, fruitful discussions and active participation that we can together lay a strong foundation for our children.

The CARES methodology is such that it ensures that students and teachers have a very flexible relationship which in turn helps to foster child-centred learning. CARES basically follows the CBSE syllabi within which, flexibility of methodology and use of experiential learning systems is encouraged. This approach helps to eliminate the need of learning by rote and developing a healthy and positive attitude towards learning. CARES system of evaluation takes into account the individual nature of every child and tries to provide an adequate feedback on the student's learning without putting undue pressure on him/her. As the child progresses through the classes, the assessment is gradually modified to prepare the students for external tests and competitive exams. The core of CARES will be a unique multi-tier educational programme with the aim of providing an 'Innovative Curriculum' taught through 'Engaging Methods' with 'Personalised Assessment' in a 'Conducive Learning Environment'. The 'Core subjects' will be supplemented with 'Career skills', 'IT skills' & 'Lifelong learning skills'; each of which will have an important part to play in the lives of our students. Our Curriculum also assists the child to learn and inculcate essential 'Habits of Mind', process skills, positive attitudes and human values. This enables the child to maximise his/her potential and evolve as a confident self assured emotionally balance and a contributing citizen.

Learning Science from Nature

The CARES method of experiential learning is extended beyond the conventional classroom teaching method by arranging classes close to the nature particularly for Biology, Environmental Science classes sometimes to Physics and Mathematics too. The close knit between the nature and the natural environment, the abundance of live examples, the expert educators and the beaming joyous faces of the students with enhanced capability of understanding the facts written in the books makes the NATURE STUDY classes most perfect method of experiential learning.

Experiential Learning Method

The CARES method of experiential learning is always accompanied with thinking beyond the four walls of the class room. Usage of modern lab along with small learning directly by models, TAMEs and Audio-visual representation of facts is a world-class technology-enabled teaching tool in which special classrooms are created, equipped with various biological samples, chemical experiments, models explaining laws of physics and geography, movies related to historical facts on a display monitors and big screens and a PC for teachers. These mediums are digitally connected and the lessons are prepared by the CARES Knowledge Centre. Through the Knowledge Centre, excellent teaching resources such as animation clips, videos, pictures, diagrams and working models are brought straight into the classrooms.

Language Development Programme

The Language Development Programme will support students whose learning styles have been creating barriers to their academic progress. It will also help to remove any flawed accents and any sort of communication-based hesitation that the child may have when speaking a language or communicating in a group. This programme has been designed to help the students develop a sense of awareness of what are the shortcomings in their respective learning styles and also to improve upon their language skills. This will also help them plan their study routines which further facilitate the entire learning process. We will offer English, Hindi and Bengali as the offered languages, however every child will be prepared to appear examinations of English versions.

Science Park & Museum

We are in the process of building a science park and museum which would be the very first of its kind. This would be an innovative and novel concept of teaching science and other subjects to the students through a 'Learning Through Doing' method that will emphasize upon learning through experimentation, observation and self-exploration. The Science Park will be complete with multiple open-air play models and exhibit various formulas and principles of various sciences including Physics and General Science. The Park will also have Live Models. For example, it will include models based on the Newton's Disc Persistence of Vision, Musical Pipes, Lever Arm and Transfer of Energy. The concept of creating a Science Park was conceived with an endeavour to help the children develop a logic-based scientific aptitude and to understand the various scientific theories through the application of basic concepts of Science in their daily lives. The interest that the Science Park will generate will also be reflected in a child's attitude towards other subjects at the school.

State-of-the-Art Laboratory Systems

To enhance the learning ability and skill and impart a practical exposure about theoretical concepts, the institution has developed a large number of modern laboratory systems including Physics, Multimedia, Chemistry, Biology (Life Sciences), Languages, Mathematics equipments. We have portable and mobile labs which would help students even at the remotest location of the country.

Exhaustive Library

Learning through self-study and reading are important skills that ensure developing habits of sustained learning, which is an indispensable tool for the future for our students. For this purpose, a well-equipped and well-stocked library with different types of books, magazines, periodicals, newspapers and other reading material is available. These materials are also available for FREE DOWNLOAD in our web site. Every child is encouraged to develop healthy reading habits by regularly visiting the library during fixed library periods and even during scheduled break times. We have a qualified librarian to maintain the Library and make sure that each book or any other reading material is placed systematically, in an easily-retrievable way.The CARES methodology is such that it ensures that students and teachers have a very flexible relationship which in turn helps to foster child-centred learning. CARES basically follows the CBSE syllabi within which, flexibility of methodology and use of experiential learning systems is encouraged.
